MMTA Certification Report   All certification activities are temporarily on "HOLD" pending the December meeting of the National Certification Board. They are studying a whole range of issues pertaining to certification and we will probably have new guidelines early in the new year. The "2000 Directory of Nationally Certified Teachers of Music" will be published in the April/May issue of American Music Teacher. This list will include the names of all certified members as of October 31, 1999 whose membership dues for the current year have been paid. My wish for certification for the New Millennium is that the Board meeting will produce some exciting ideas which will spur the movement toward national certification.
