MMTA Vice-President - Local Associations The MMTA Executive Board met on March 12 and reviewed MMTA Local Association grant applications. Rolla Area Music Teachers Association applied for $300 to fund a masterclass and children's concert to be presented by Ray Herbert on April 7, 2000. The grant was approved by the board and funds dispersed by treasurer Lynda Quistorff. There are TWO local association grants available each year: MMTA and MTNA. The MMTA grant form is an extremely simple one page form. The guidelines and application forms are distributed to local association presidents at the Fall MMTA Board Meeting. Next year, we will also post the guidelines and form on the MMTA web site. Hopefully, even more local associations will take advantage of this MMTA benefit. I hope to see many MMTA members at the MTNA convention in Minneapolis. Bring those new ideas and products home to Missouri Kathy Miller, NCTM kmiller@iland.net
