    MMTA Student Composition Chair Report

    I am pleased to report that two of the winners of this year's MMTA composition contest have received recognition at the division level. Bradley K. Johnston's composition, Cauldron, was the winner in the collegiate category. Bradley is a senior at the University of Missouri-Columbia where he studies composition with Dr. Thomas McKenney. Kevin A. Kring's composition, The Golden Ticket, was selected as 1st runner-up in the elementary category. Kevin is a fourth grade student from Springfield. His teacher is Marilyn Lowe. Congratulations to both of our Missouri students who received division-level honors! They and their teachers are to be highly commended!
