 Rather have all the dirt, controversies, and--yes--flame wars? Check out the discussion page for authors contributing to the Wikipedia article. Should he be called Franz, Ferenc, or something else? How do you pronounce Ferenc? Is he Hungarian, German, Austrian, French, or something else? Did he write any Hungarian music at all? Did he consider himself a Hungarian? Are the Hungarian Rhapsodies Hungarian or not? Was he a better or worse pianist than Chopin? Thalberg? Was he a great pianist, or no good at all? As a composer, was he an innovater or an imitator?
