KCMTA's 14th Annual Concerto Competition, deadline Dec. 1, 2007

The Kansas City Music Teachers Association is ramping up its Concerto Competition. KCMTA President Joyce Berg asked me to post the following information:

KCMTA's 14th Annual Concerto Competition

First prize, $1000; alternate, $500. Winner performs with the Philharmonia of Greater Kansas City.

Deadline: December 1, 2007

Competition Date: January 26, 2008

Repertoire: One movement (memorized) of a concerto for piano or other instrument, or a aria from the standard repertoire
