MMTA seeks Executive Secretary

Upcoming Opportunity for the Right Person . . . .

Carol Borgstadt, MMTA Executive Secretary, has resigned her position effective April 30, 2007. The Executive Committee is now searching for someone to replace her at that time. Applicants for this position must be able to work with many details of varied tasks for all the different officers and committee chairs throughout the organization. Extensive computer skills are required including experience with database, spreadsheet and word processing programs(Pagemaker a plus). The hours are quite irregular (some months only 1-2 hrs. work) with the job becoming an almost full-time position during the 4 weeks leading up to and including the annual conference in the fall. While the majority of the work can be conducted from the secretary's home, he/she must travel to the conference (4 days) each year and to the 2 other board and executive committee meetings annually. New MTNA Young Artists Chairs for Missouri announced
MMTA President Cameron Dibble sent this announcement today:

Peter Miyamoto and Ayako Tsuruta have agreed to serve as MTNA Young Artist Co-coordinators. They take over the position which Troy Marsh previously held. Peter teaches at the University of Missouri-Columbia and Ayako directs the Odyssey Chamber Music Series and Plowman Chamber Music Competition. They are also piano faculty members of the New York Summer Music Festival at SUNY Oneonta.
